Tina + Ben {E-Session}

Tina and Ben were serious troopers getting up for a 6:30am shoot… not to mention it was the beginning of February and it was freeezing!!! As in I wore a huge jacket, gloves, and a head band to cover my ears. BUT to say all that… the sacrifice was worth it so they could get back home to Shreveport to cheer on the Saints in the Super Bowl that night! Tina and Ben, thank you both for allowing me to capture this awesome season in both your lives right before you tie the knot!! It was a blast and I wish you both an incredible wedding day and a lifetime of happiness with each other.

Enjoy!!!

Favorite shot of the day! I know it’s simple… but I heart this so much.

Runner-up for favorite shot of the day! Love the mood of this.

Love her.

My favorite shot of Tina…!!!! Gorgeous girl!

How beautiful are they?!

Tina and all her fabulousness :)

Fierce people! FIERCE!

Some of my favorites… so cute!!

Love.

Sneak Peek of what I’m working on next!!

Stephanie {Bridal Session}

I can’t begin to express how BADLY I’ve been wanting to blog this session! I really enjoy bridal sessions so much, EXCEPT the fact I have to wait sometimes months to post them. With that said…!!!

We captured Stephanie and Russ’s beautiful wedding this past Friday so I’m free to blog now and I’m pretty excited about it :) We did this session the beginning of January and it was flippin’ cold to say the least… but, she was flawless… and she nailed not showing in her expression that it was 38 degrees out. (So what if I had to photoshop some chill bumps!!) :)

I’ll end with this –  Stephanie has been such a joy to be around and work with… and she’s simply beautiful. Enjoy her bridals.

Happy Fat Tuesday!

Starting with my favorite shot of the day…

These make me happy :)

Stephanie, you’re diiiivine – period.

Honestly, when Stephanie emailed me which one she picked for her portrait for the reception… I did my happy dance – right in my office. Since my style tends to lean more towards contemporary rather than traditional I was so so ecstatic over the one she chose… so here it is!

My 35mm 1.4 lens… yes, I love you.

Tell me she does not look like Carrie Underwood. Tell me.

Adore these…

One of my favorites.

Yummy light… love.

Weekend Delights

Just a few lovelies I found this past weekend while searching the internet. Enjoy another dose of Weekend Delights! Hope you had a fabulous weekend!

Happy Monday!

1. {Fresh Homes} So I’m super stressed and excited all at the same time with getting ideas for our house we’re going to build this year! It’s one of our biggest goals for 2010 and anyone that has built a home before, I’m sure you can relate to the stress. Our style is contemporary/modern. With the way I “desire” to build my house, I should not be living in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. This website, Fresh Homes has some of the best ideas if you love a contemporary style house. The picture of the kitchen is an idea of how I’d love mine to look. We shall see…!!

2. {Ruche} I found this lovely this past weekend and I’m addicted! It’s so my style with the vintage/modern feel to the clothing and jewelry. It actually is super affordable too which always makes things nice :)

3. {Amy Atlas Events} This website/blog has some SUPER eye candy/drool worthy goodies! Guess this picture just really got me all giddy about Valentine’s Day coming up and all the yummy goodness that comes with that holiday! Go check her blog out – there’s all kinds of fun things!

4. {Pallas Couture Bridal Gowns} Ummm… yes please!!! How seriously gorgeous are these two dresses? Honestly, every time I see breathtaking wedding gowns… I want to buy one, just because. I’m the type of girl, if I could, re-do my wedding once every three months just so I can wear different gowns and style it out with different themes. ::sigh:: but for now… I will just continue to feast my eyes on them. P.S. Can one of my brides pick one of these dresses? Please, for me?

5. {La Vieja Tun Tun} How fun is that name?! Not sure what it means… but it sounds fun and it sure does match the fun jewelry she sells on Etsy! I’ve been falling in love with these necklaces!! With making jewelry in the past, I have a deep love for handmade jewelry. So much time and energy goes in to each one of a kind piece!! La Vieja Tun Tun, I’m a huge fan!!! Keep up the good work!

6. {Fantasy Floral Designs} My last Weekend Delights post I showed that amazing vintage brooch bouquet I found on The Wedding Chicks blog! Remember!? Amanda from Fantasy Floral Designs is back with some additional vintage love for you. Amanda is now designing love letter bouquets. The bouquets are actual real vintage love letters from the 1930’s. I mean… seriously, how awesome?

7. {Bird in a cage bride} I’m still diggin’ the hair piece accents. They seriously spice up photo shoots… PER-fect accessory for an engagement shoot! Brides, take note!

8. {Peppermint Cloud} So once again, I find a super cute store on Etsy. Nothing but unique jewelry, head pieces, and boutonnieres!! The boutonnieres are a must see!! I wish I would have found these for my wedding… I adore one of a kind looking goodies. Go see!!

9. {The Perfect Wedding Guide} February 21st, 2010 in Baton Rouge at the River Center will be the Perfect Wedding Guide Bridal show! I’ll have a booth there, so make sure you come say hi! If you are a new bride, you won’t want to miss out on this! Check the website out for details!

Reagan + Justin {Wedding}

I’ve shared Reagan and Justin’s Day After Session (if you missed it, go see!), now I get to share their beautiful wedding day. The thing I absolutely love the most about my job, is being able to meet people like Reagan, Justin and both their families. From the moment we met everyone at the rehearsal the night before the wedding day, Paul and I instantly felt like we had known these sweet people our whole lives. The day of the wedding went so smoothly… a smile never left the groom’s face, the bride was breathtaking and calm but had just the right amount of wedding day nerves :) , the ceremony was intimate and moving, and the reception, full of wonderful fellowship. I’m blessed to be able to capture these incredible moments for someone. Enjoy their sweet story.

Details!! Details make me giddy!

I love when bride’s personalize their weddings… especially with a cute doggy :)

Two of my favorite shots of the day!

The girls looking super fabulous!

The groomsmen were the best! Such fun guys!!

Sweet moments between Reagan and her father.

Reagan and her mother looked stunning.

I had to give my hubby some extra smooches after I found these treasures… Props to him for capturing these PRICELESS photos of the groom while I was focusing on the Bride!! The Groom’s reaction, seeing his bride for the first time! ::sigh::

The connection between Reagan and her father was beautiful… and this is what I was able to capture.

The vows. I love capturing these moments…

I always love the Bride and Groom’s expressions after they are announced as Mr. & Mrs. :)

The sunset was so incredible during their first dance!!

Reagan + Justin {Day After Session}

First I want to start with – I HEART Day After Sessions so so much!!! Day After Sessions are really such a great investment… being able to chill and relax… having NO stress because the wedding day came and went… allowing some STELLAR photos to be captured of you and your new spouse!! It’s something that I believe is really going to start becoming more and more popular. If you’re a bride-to-be, I hope these photos will convince you to think about doing a Day After.

We had the awesome opportunity to dive in to Reagan and Justin’s world for just three days and it was such a priceless experience! We photographed their beautiful wedding and then did a Day After Session with them the following day. I’m thrilled beyond words to blog their wedding later this week… but I’m finished with their Day After Session, so you know I HAD to post it!

Reagan and Justin are the definition of playful, light hearted, flirtatious, fun-loving people. They were so comfortable in front of the camera, letting loose of their nervous… which makes my job so much easier when that happens :)  The cute little town of Seaside is where we met them and we had a blast running around trying to beat the sun as it went down. Some of my favorite shots in their set were shot at dusk (which was around 5pm!). The weather turned out perfect… all the different places we ended up at were perfect and more than anything, the couple was perfect! Reagan and Justin, I adore your photos so much! You both were so beautiful to capture! Looking forward to posting the wedding soon! Hugs!!

Meet the Bride and Groom

We decided last minute to run up in the awesome condo/house Reagan’s family stayed in for the wedding weekend… and I was LOVIN’ the stairwell  :)

You know I was like a child on Christmas morning when I saw these bushes… or flowers… plant? Not sure what it was, but it rocked my world!

Reagan, you are truly stunning.

This is why I love what I do… seriously.

Hollllaaa for the Favorite Shot of the Day!!!! {siiigh}

I loved the color and contrast the bouquet added to the beach scene…

I adore these so much… love their look.

{Top Photo} So we all thought it would be super cute for Justin and Reagan to reenact how they met each other… Reagan laying out on the beach all tan *NOT in a wedding dress I assume :) and Justin taking a run on the beach looking all stud-ish… their eyes met, and it was all down hill from there. {Bottom Photo} Reagan just being her cute self. Love her.

Featured on:: The Wedding Shoebox! {Personal}

The FABulous Valerie Metrejean, owner of Southern Fete event planning and Butterscotch Press, asked me to submit an Inspiration Board on her newly created site The Wedding Shoebox!! This blog is to inspire brides with the best of best in inspiration boards as well as introduce them to wedding planners who may be able to help pull all those ideas together. Valerie e-mailed me a week ago letting me know she was looking to feature photographer’s inspiration boards! How exciting!! I was so pumped because this is SO up my alley! So here’s how it works – I needed to choose one of my own photos (Number 4) and let it inspirer me for my entire inspiration board.

My photo I chose to “get my creative juices flowing” was a photo from Skye & Danny’s Day After Session. I was and still am SO in love with her choice of shoes! I also happen to adore the color pink… what girl doesn’t, right? Below you will see my post that was featured on the Wedding Shoebox!

Valerie, thanks again for everything!! You’re the best!

Julie + Glenn {E-Session}

So, I know this might sound super cheese, but I was destine to be a part of Julie and Glenn’s story. Julie contacted me a few months back and I knew from her very first email she was the type of bride any photographer would want to have as a client! We clicked instantly and after meeting up with them for their engagement shoot in New Orleans, I was even more pumped up about being a part of their wedding in May! Julie and Glenn, it’s already been loads of fun and we’re both humbled to capture your wedding day coming up! Now for some favorites :)

SO my favorite shot of the day!! Love love. LOVE.

Love this of Julie – nothing short of beautiful!

Living in the south has its moments :)

Loving the mood in this one…

Sheree {Bridal Session}

Being a part of Sheree and Jaret’s story has been the most incredible experience. They were by far the sweetest, most easy going couple!! Their engagement session was a blast…. I captured Sheree’s beauty in her Bridals and we witnessed (and documented) them become man and wife. Sheree and Jaret, it means everything to me that you both gave me the opportunity to document this special time in your lives. It was beautiful.

Enjoy Sheree’s Bridals! Happy Wednesday everyone!

This spot at our location had the yummiest light.

Loved the buttons on the back of her dress… so beautiful!

Favorite shot of the day!! Super fierce!
