“The beauty of a woman
Is not determined by a man
Her beauty can be found in her grace
Not just the beauty of her face
It can be found in her style
It can also be found in her smile
Her beauty is in her thoughts
Not just what she has been taught
It can also be found in her soul
It cannot go untold
Her beauty is within her
She does not need to lure
Anyone, because her presence
It is her whole essence
A woman’s beauty is in her heart
Her beauty is her art.”

Barbara + Seth | Wedding

I’m tucked away in Heber Springs, Arkansas for the week….. getting some rest, spending quality time with my loved ones and trying to force myself to slow down a bit. When we come to this quaint little town, you can’t help but put the breaks on… life seems more simple up here and moves at a slow pace…..  and I needed that right now. Wishing you all a very BLESSED Thanksgiving. XOXO!

Enjoy another wedding snippet post!!

Emily + Drew | Wedding

I’ve been frustrated for awhile now that I’ve gotten so behind on blogging…. grrrr. It truly bums me out. I’ve had so many incredible weddings and clients in the past that I still would LOVE to share with you all…. but as we all know, life can get hectic. It seems my world has been non stop the last two years and I so desperately want and NEED it to slow down. Since blog post always take me FOREVER to prep, I’m excited to share some of my weddings over the last year that I never got the chance to blog!!! First up…. Emily and Drew. Oh my goodness I love these two!! Their love for each other was SO refreshing and innocent… it truly was beautiful to photograph. Enjoy a little snippet of their lovely day! xo!

Emily and Drew, ahhhhh!! I MISS YOU GUYS!!!! Doing this little post reminded me how much I enjoyed being with you both!! I hope your first year of marriage has been everything and MORE!! Much LOVE!

Jessica | Bridal

This beautiful bride and I go way back…… all the way back when we were 7 years old. We were in Brownies together and then moved on up to be Girl Scouts. That season in my life will always be something I hold close to my heart. When Jess contacted me and decided to have me photograph her Bridals and Wedding day, I was humbled. How special is this…? One of my childhood friends would have me capture this once in a lifetime moment…. Who would have thought 21 years ago that we would be here… that our paths would cross again in such a beautiful way.

Jess, you have always been…. and still are to this day, beautiful – inside and out.

Beautiful clean story as usual Ashleigh. There is time for a story and time for stunning clean correct portraits and this set is just all about this. You have the perfect balance both technically and in philosophy. A stunning set of well balanced beautiful portraits of a stunning bride.

“I consider myself a stained-glass window. And this is how I live my life. Closing no doors and covering no windows; I am the multi-colored glass with light filtering through me, in many different shades. Allowing light to shed and fall into many many hues. My job is not to direct anything, but only to filter into many colors. My answer is destiny and my guide is joy. And there you have me.” | C. Joy Bell

Jennifer + Ben | Engaged

I love engagement sessions that exceed my expectations. The day that we shot Jennifer and Ben’s engagements turned out to be a hot, SUPER humid day. I was worried at first, because I don’t usually even shoot sessions in the summer. Because if you live in the south, or have ever traveled down here…well, you know exactly what I’m talking about.

Good ole’ Louisiana summers are filled with hot days and afternoon rain showers, not the most ideal conditions for a photo session. But this time, something was different. A giant, beautiful rainbow stretched across the sky, and provided a perfect, spontaneous photo op! Jennifer and Ben were more than happy to run through the rain, and up the hill for an unbelievable, once in a lifetime shot. I feel this picture is the perfect picture of their love. If they can deal with the storms in their life like they did the weather that day, then they will have a great marriage! I’m so excited to be a part of their big day this weekend!!
See you soon Jennifer and Ben!
