Reagan + Justin | Day After

First I want to start with – I HEART Day After Sessions so so much!!! Day After Sessions are really such a great investment… being able to chill and relax… having NO stress because the wedding day came and went… allowing some STELLAR photos to be captured of you and your new spouse!!ย It’s something that I believe is really going to start becoming more and more popular. If you’re a bride-to-be, I hope these photos will convince you to think about doing a Day After.

We had the awesome opportunity to dive in to Reagan and Justin’s world for just three days and it was such a priceless experience! We photographed their beautiful wedding and then did a Day After Session with them the following day. I’m thrilled beyond words to blog their wedding later this week… but I’m finished with their Day After Session, so you know I HAD to post it!

Reagan and Justin are the definition of playful, light hearted, flirtatious, fun-loving people. They were so comfortable in front of the camera, letting loose of their nervous… which makes my job so much easier when that happens ๐Ÿ™‚ ย The cute little town of Seaside is where we met them and we had a blast running around trying to beat the sun as it went down. Some of my favorite shots in their set were shot at dusk (which was around 5pm!). The weather turned out perfect… all the different places we ended up at were perfect and more than anything, the couple was perfect! Reagan and Justin, I adore your photos so much! You both were so beautiful to capture! Looking forward to posting the wedding soon! Hugs!!

Meet the Bride and Groom

We decided last minute to run up in the awesome condo/house Reagan’s family stayed in for the wedding weekend… and I was LOVIN’ the stairwell ย ๐Ÿ™‚

You know I was like a child on Christmas morning when I saw these bushes… or flowers… plant? Not sure what it was, but it rocked my world!

Reagan, you are truly stunning.ย

This is why I love what I do… seriously.

Hollllaaa for the Favorite Shot of the Day!!!! {siiigh}

I loved the color and contrast the bouquet added to the beach scene…

I adore these so much… love their look.ย

{Top Photo} So we all thought it would be super cute for Justin and Reagan to reenact how they met each other… Reagan laying out on the beach all tan *NOT in a wedding dress I assume :)and Justin taking a run on the beach looking all stud-ish… their eyes met, and it was all down hill from there. {Bottom Photo} Reagan just being her cute self. Love her.

These are so beautiful Ashleigh. You did a fantastic job, and that bouquet and dress aren’t that bad either ๐Ÿ˜‰

Kellan - February 2, 2010 - 11:25 am

Killer Ashleigh!!! The bouquet just made my morning. They are seriously so pretty to look at, love all the soft tones created with his khaki to her white. Wish more guys “lightened up”like that…so much softness. Love the shots of them messing around on the beach. Great job.

The purple/pink cloudy plants are called Gulf Muhly Grass or Pink Muhly Grass (Muhlenbergia capillaris)! They are native to the south and are gorgeous when they get enough sun to do that!

Those beach shots are money. What a beautiful couple!! All I kept thinking while looking at the beach shots was…CANVAS CANVAS CANVAS! ๐Ÿ™‚ Love your work.

Featured on | The Wedding Shoebox!

The FABulous Valerie Metrejean, owner of Southern Fete event planning and Butterscotch Press, asked me to submit an Inspiration Board on her newly created site The Wedding Shoebox!! This blog is to inspire brides with the best of best in inspiration boards as well as introduce them to wedding planners who may be able to help pull all those ideas together. Valerie e-mailed me a week ago letting me know she was looking to feature photographer’s inspiration boards! How exciting!! I was so pumped because this is SO up my alley! So here’s how it works – I needed to choose one of my own photos (Number 4) and let it inspirer me for my entire inspiration board.

My photo I chose to “get my creative juices flowing” was a photo from Skye & Danny’s Day After Session. I was and still am SO in love with her choice of shoes! I also happen to adore the color pink… what girl doesn’t, right? Below you will see my post that was featured on the Wedding Shoebox!

Valerie, thanks again for everything!! You’re the best!

Julie + Glenn | Engaged

So, I know this might sound super cheese, but I was destine to be a part of Julie and Glenn’s story. Julie contacted me a few months back and I knew from her very firstย email she was the type of bride any photographer would want to have as a client! We clicked instantly and after meeting up with them for their engagement shoot in New Orleans, I was even more pumped up about being a part of their wedding in May! Julie and Glenn, it’s already been loads of fun and we’re both humbled to capture your wedding day coming up! Now for some favorites ๐Ÿ™‚

SO my favorite shot of the day!! Love love. LOVE.

Love this of Julie – nothing short of beautiful!

Living in the south has its moments ๐Ÿ™‚

Loving the mood in this one…

Sheree | Bridal

Being a part of Sheree and Jaret’s story has been the most incredible experience. They were by far the sweetest, most easy going couple!! Their engagement session was a blast…. I captured Sheree’s beauty in her Bridals and we witnessed (and documented) them become man and wife. Sheree and Jaret, it means everything to me that you both gave me the opportunity to document this special time in your lives. It was beautiful.

Enjoy Sheree’s Bridals! Happy Wednesday everyone!

This spot at our location had the yummiest light.

Loved the buttons on the back of her dress… so beautiful!

Favorite shot of the day!! Super fierce!ย

Love love. I think this shoot is stunning. Well along with all your other work. Really. Stunning.

Weekend Delights

Weekend Delights will be something new I add to my blog… Both my husband and I are die hard internet junkies. Every night before bed, we both sit with our laptops on our laps and search the internet like CA-razy! I really love finding new blogs, reading articles, getting ideas… it really gets my creative juices bubbling. ๐Ÿ™‚ So with that said, I thought I’d share some of the little treasures I find here and there… so here’s the first Weekend Delights! Enjoy!

1. {Jessica Simpson Red Pumps} So… I need these. Honestly. Now I’m the first to admit, I’m not a HUGE Jessica Simpson fan… but I am a fan of her shoes. Think she designs them…? Hmmmm…

2. {Little Love Notes} I came across this uplifting blog the other night… makes my heart happy.

3. {Super cute pink car} I found this pic on Design Delights last night and I had one thought – Uber cute photo shoot prop. I need this for my next engagement session. Badly.

4. {Timeless Vixen Dress} I found this little treasure on Etsy! It’s a 1950’s inspired Vintage Polka-Dot Dress!! eeee!! I need the hubs to do a “1950’s style” photo shoot of me in this!! Look at the bow on the back! O. M. Geee.

5. {Victorian Romance Necklace} How rockin’ is this?

6. {Cupcakes} I saw these cute cupcakes in teacups made by Sweet Paul! Be sure to visit the website to get the recipe and baking instructions. How cute for a Bridal luncheon?!?

7. {Vintage Brooch Bouquets} So check this out… is this not the most presh thing you’ve ever seen!? It’s a bouquet made out of vintage brooches!!! I’ve seen this on a few blogs now – seems like the word is spreading about them. If anyone ever finds out how to make them, throw the info my way!

8. {Miniature English Bulldogs} These cuties make my heart melt….!! The fact that they stay that size in the picture above really makes it tempting not to add one to the Cormier Pad.

9. {Heart Shoes} These are Vivienne Westwood Pumps and I must have. I need my next Bride to order a pair! How epic would these be on your wedding day!?ย Click here to own you a pair ๐Ÿ™‚

New post coming soon of two of the cutest little girls!! Happy Monday everyone!

Valerie Metrejean - January 11, 2010 - 11:54 am
